Show you care by giving money.
During the festive season, you can make a one-off donation to your favourite charity or support a charity that has a dedicated Christmas appeal. Australian employees can use Payroll Giving (offering an immediate tax benefit) and New Zealand employees can make a donation direct to the charity.
If you’re looking for gift ideas for that hard-to-buy-for person in your life, why not make a donation on their behalf?
To inspire you, Brighter Futures have put all our ideas for giving money in one place. More ideas will be added to the Brighter Futures website as more charities promote their Christmas appeals.
If your favourite charity isn’t listed, you can still make a donation to them. Australian employees can search for their favourite charity on the Payroll Giving platform and New Zealand employees can contact their favourite charity directly.
Payroll Giving is coming to New Zealand in 2018. Keep up to date by signing up to the Brighter Futures e-newsletter.
This festive season, in addition to matching our people’s fundraising, we’re matching your donations up to $500 per employee.
If you’re in Australia, make a donation through Payroll Giving in the month of December and Brighter Futures will match it, dollar for dollar.
If you haven’t used Payroll Giving before, you will need to register and set up your donation by 27 November. This will ensure your donation is made when you get paid on 6 December. If you miss the first cut-off date, the second cut-off date is 11 December (for the pay you receive on 20 December). If you already use Payroll Giving and have a regular donation set up, your donations will be matched automatically on 6 and 20 December.
In you’re in New Zealand, make a donation direct to the charity, obtain a receipt and email this to email@example.com no later than 21 December 2017. We will endeavour to match all donations by 22 December.
