ReachOut is Australia's leading online mental health organisation for young people, providing practical support to help them get through anything from everyday issues to tough times.
Designed to improve youth mental health and reduce suicide, ReachOut provides tools, forums and information in a safe and anonymous online environment.
A 2014 survey showed that after family and friends, the internet is the first place young people turn to for help, with more than 50% of young Australians seeking support online.
The top three concerns affecting them were found to be stress, school or study problems and body image.
With most mental health problems emerging before the age of 25 years, and 75% of young people who experience issues not receiving help, it's easy to see why ReachOut plays a crucial role in the lives of many young Australians. In fact, more than 90% of the people who visit ReachOut say they get the help they need.
